Does poor posture cause back pain?

Improving the mobility of your thoracic spine is important to improve your posture and can help with everyday activities, some sports and your breathing. Having poor mobility in the thoracic spine can lead to injury in the upper body and lower back, in areas such as; neck, shoulders, lower back, and hips. Also poor thoracic mobility can affect your breathing as the ribs attach to the mid spine.

If you're suffering with tension in the upper back this exercise is a must for you. You could use it as a warm up before exercise or even as a way to do exercise away from your desk.

The "thread the needle" stretch will help to improve mid spine rotation and stiffness. It is a great way to stretch the shoulders and lower back too.

Move better. Feel better. Live better.
